Whether you are looking to casually do some fishing or wish to try some serious angling, the Elliot Lake area is a fisherman’s paradise. Anglers are sure to find their prize catch with more than 4,000 lakes surrounding the area and some over 300 feet deep, holding the largest stock of lake trout in Ontario. Other possible catches include speckled or rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye. In fact, smallmouth bass from 5 to 8 pounds and speckled trout from 4 to 8 pounds are common occurrences.
