A unique retirement lifestyle in the heart of the great outdoors!
Volunteerism
We make a living by what we do, but we make a life by what we give.
– Winston Churchill
As a result of the popularity of the retirement program in Elliot Lake, the community has benefited greatly from the dedication and effort many of our retirees have provided to local organizations and charities. In Elliot Lake there is no shortage of volunteer opportunities available for those willing to donate their time and efforts during retirement. There are a number of service clubs in the community that offer opportunities to volunteer, or you can choose to fundraise for your favorite charity, organize or assist with an event or become involved with an organization that focuses on things like Economic Development, Health Care or Business. Many Elliot Lake retirees volunteer at the local Food Bank or get involved with organizations dedicated to the well being of animals or children. St. Joseph’s General Hospital also offers a variety of opportunities to volunteer. Volunteering allows you to meet new people, give back and immerse yourself in the community of Elliot Lake.
